Drainage can be approached from the exterior with excavation. With the exterior method, it’s likely that there will be digging at the foundation down to the foundation footing. Once excavation is complete the footing drain will be installed and the system will probably drain to a sump pump inside the basement.
A couple of the benefits of an interior drainage system are there will be no excavation and the system is easy to service since it is readily accessible. We have the knowledge, supplies, and equipment to manage drainage efficiently and effectively.
Water management is simply collecting water and diverting it away from the building. The objective is to direct water into drainage before it causes damage. Interior drainage, installed inside the footing perimeter, draining to a sump pump at a lower level is one effective water management plan. Sump pumps should always be covered to prevent moisture vapor from rising. Each space is unique, we can design a solution for your wet basement or damp crawlspace.
